Deleting your account · Last updated August 28, 2026
UpTo is published by Alan Ottenstein. This page explains how to request deletion of your UpTo account and what happens to your data when you do.
The fastest way is directly in the app:
Deletion takes effect immediately. It cannot be undone, and your username is released for anyone else to claim.
If you can no longer sign in, email support@uptoapp.net from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We action these requests within 30 days.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
Nothing personal to you is retained. Posts by other people that you had responded to remain visible to their own audiences, but your response and your name are removed from them. Routine server logs may retain a record of requests for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, after which they are discarded.
You do not have to delete your account to remove content. In the app you can delete individual posts, remove friends, leave or delete circles, clear friend nicknames, and turn off push notifications. Posts also expire and disappear on their own at the time you set when creating them.
